Default Title

T500 Boiler NOW WITH 2 HEATING ELEMENTS AND STAINLESS STEEL TAP..IMAGE TO BE UPDATED

This pot stlll  can be used when distilling washes that contain flavours that you wish to collect.

Instead of stripping flavours to give clean spirit like the T500, this pot still retains and enhances flavours.

It is made up of the T500 Boiler (also known as grainfather boiler and Mangrove Jacks boiler)  with a Pot Still Alembic Dome Top and Pot Still Alembic Condenser.

These additions transform the T500 into an Alembic Pot Still.

The Pot Still Alembic Condenser is best used with the T500 Boiler and the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top. You can use this with the T500 Boiler without the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top, to do this it fits on to the lid of the T500 Boiler. This condenser is what differentiates this still from the T500. It is what retains the flavour rather than stripping it out by refluxing. This comes with a thermometer, tubing and tap adaptor set.

This condenser incorporates a spiral structure modification inside the condenser called fins. The outer water jacket tube of the condenser has been modified internally to increase surface area with the inner distillate arm allowing for better cooling performance. Fins allow the cold water to pass through with some turbulence increasing surface area within the inner tube. The cooling sleeve has been extended back towards the temperature probe which gives the extra cooling length. This new condenser arm has improved the overall efficiency (heat transfer) of the Alembic condenser, allowing for a colder spirit collection temperature.

The Pot Still Alembic Dome Top is copper and fits on to your T500 Boiler. This can be used in place of the T500 Boiler's stainless steel lid.  (stainless lid is supplied with the boiler also)The large copper surafce area of this dome top acts as a catalyst with the vapour in the still and helps enhance and concentrate the flavours and aromas as well as remove unwanted sulphur compounds. This produces a smoother, richer, sweeter tasting spirit.
